THEODORE LAQUERCIA Obituary

LAQUERCIA--Dr. Theodore "Ted", PhD, born June 5, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY died April 13, 2023 in New York City. For full bio: tinyurl.com/4vd3esxp. Loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ted made everyone laugh. He loved dancing with Carole, cherished wife of 51 years. Accomplished artist. Proud US Marine 1956-1959. Awarded medal for bravery saving passengers in a burning train. Ted had many impressive careers: Arthur Murray Dance Instructor, high school principal, Clinical Psychoanalyst 50 years. Senior leadership - psychoanalytic organizations: CMPS, BGSP, SMP, NAAP, ABP. Authored numerous professional papers on Psychoanalysis. Survived by wife Carole, son Brett, granddaughter Lily, brother Thomas Michael, sisters Phyllis and Josephine. Predeceased by mother Josephine, father Antonio Salvatore, brother Salvatore. Rest now Ted. Your legacy lives on. You will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. He was a wonderful high school principal. He guided my friends and I to the colleges that were exactly right for each of us. The store was always open. He was a big influence on my life. Condolences to his wife and family.
